Solid Shampoo, Social Uprising and Scary Destinations

I recently bought a bar of solid shampoo at LUSH, this wonderful place where everything smells fantastic and makes you wish you had a tub the size of the one in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. I was told that this shampoo is great for traveling because it’s not liquid, so no TSA problems. As I scrubbed up with it this morning, I was listening to the radio where they were talking a lot about the recent issues in Egypt, and one person mentioned how frightening it must be to have been vacationing on a trip of a lifetime to see the pyramids to then be completely cut off from communication and have no idea how to get home. The conversation quickly turned to traveling mishaps and what it’s like to be stranded or helpless in an area where things are horrible – and how sometimes the very thing that drew you to a place turned out to be the reason why it’s so dangerous.

I started thinking about places to travel, especially for a honeymoon, that would seem great but have potential to be totally terrifying. And as luck would have it, someone else thought about this too. Check out this article, Vacations Turned Deadly: The Most Dangerous Honeymoon Spots! It may have you rethinking where your fantastic, romantic getaway should be.
